About me

Brian has been in the landscape industry since 1977. He has a Bachelor of Science degree from Colorado State University in entomology and plant pathology.

Work experience includes nursery manager for Northern Colorado Nursery; Director of Arboriculture and Research for Nitro-Green Corporation in Fort Collins Colorado and Fairfield California; assistant to the city of Vacaville California landscape architect; consultant with John E. Bryan Inc. in Sausalito, California; manager of Lawn Magic in Reno, Nevada; arborist/horticulturalist for Reno Green in Reno Nevada; landscape designer and arborist/horticulturalist for Signature Landscapes and Reno Lawn and Landscaping in Reno Nevada.

Consulting clients: Legal counsel, insurance companies, property owners, home owner associations, property adjustors, landscape contractors, Nevada State contractors board and Nevada Attorney General.

Credentials: Mr. Dean was president of the Nevada Landscape Association (NLA),  committee chairman for the NLA awards, committee chairman for the NLA landscape maintenance and installation standards.   Member of the International Society of Arboriculture (ISA), ISA Certified Arborist, ISA Certified Tree Risk Assessor and member of the American Society of Consulting Arborists (ASCA).

Awards: 1994 NLA Ambassadors Award; numerous certificates of appreciation from the NLA, Northern Nevada Apartment Association (NNAA), Carson City Shade Tree Council and University of Nevada (UNR) Cooperative Extension Service for contributions to the landscape industry and educational seminars.
